"Through the Armed Violence Prevention Programme (AVPP), the United Nations Development Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BiH) have engaged local and national authorities in assisting with their effort to combat the availability of illicit small arms and light weapons. UNDP BiH is now examining an innovative small arms control software project currently being developed by the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), aimed to facilitate the practical application of the International Small Arms Control Standards (ISACS) and allow stakeholders to measure, prioritize and evaluate their implementation efforts of small arms control commitments."
