UNDP, Japan help Côte d’Ivoire develop Handbook of SALW control based on ISACS

“The National Commission to Combat the Proliferation and Illicit Trafficking of Small Arms and Light Weapons (ComNat-SALW), in partnership with Japan through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), organized the official handover ceremony of the Handbook of Procedures for the Management of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) Stocks and their Ammunition to the Forces of Côte d'Ivoire on Monday, 25 September 2017, at 3 pm at the headquarters of the Institution.

“In line with its focus on supporting security institutions for the management, storage and destruction of SALW, the program is committed to addressing the issue of physical security and the management of weapons and ammunition on the basis of of the International Small Arms Control Standards (ISACS) and the International Ammunition Technical Guidelines.”
