Civil society coalition promotes use of ISACS in Pacific

The Pacific Small Arms Action Group (PSAAG) coordinates civil society initiatives to reduce the deadly impact of small arms and light weapons in the Pacific region.  PSAAG facilitates Pacific implementation of the UN Programme of Action on small arms and promotes activation of the Arms Trade Treaty.

PSAAG uses its civil society networks and expertise to support local, national and regional initiatives that tackle armed violence, especially where it undermines justice, human security, development, public health, gender equity and human rights.

PSAAG has won a two year grant from the  United Nations Trust Facility Supporting Cooperation on Arms Regulation (UNSCAR) to, inter-alia, promote implementation of the International Small Arms Control Standards (ISACS) across all nations of the south west Pacific.
